TSA Encourages Child Molestation

by Jason Stotts

One overlooked problem, among oh so many, with the TSA new “protect via sexual assault” policy is that it will encourage child molestation.  An article on Raw Story (I’m not actually familiar with this website) quotes child abuse expert Ken Wooden on the dangers of the new TSA policy:

Telling a child that they are engaging in a game is “one of the most common ways” that sexual predators use to convince children to engage in inappropriate contact.

This is pretty obvious.  If an adult is able to touch a child’s genitals in public, because it’s part of “a game,” then why would the child object to being touched in private by another adult?  After all, the genital touching is just “a game.”

The TSA is so odious I can’t believe that it could ever exist in the country brought into existence by the Founding Fathers.  Jefferson is certainly rolling over in his grave.

“All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent.” ~ Thomas Jefferson

Child Abuse in Lesbian Households

by Jason Stotts

The Huffington Post has an article that is sure to infuriate the Religious Reich: “Child Abuse Rate At Zero Percent In Lesbian Households, New Report Finds.”  The atricle notes that:

The paper found that none of the 78 NLLFS adolescents reports having ever been physically or sexually abused by a parent or other caregiver. This contrasts with 26 percent of American adolescents who report parent or caregiver physical abuse and 8.3 percent who report sexual abuse.

So, apparently those crazy lesbians make good moms.  It’s lucky for the children, though, that many states have laws banning adoption by same-sex couples.  Far better to be sexually abused than to be raised by gays!

Illinois Approves Civil Unions

by Jason Stotts

CNN is reporting that yesterday the Illinois legislature passed legislation legalizing civil unions for either heterosexual or homosexual couples.  It’s not exactly equality, but at least now gays in IL have some legal rights as a couple.

Illinois’ state Senate approved legislation Wednesday that will give same-sex couples many of the same rights as married couples.[…]

According to the language of the bill, it will provide “adequate procedures for the certification and registration of a civil union and provide persons entering into a civil union with the obligations, responsibilities, protections, and benefits afforded or recognized by the law of Illinois to spouses.”
