Objectivist Blog Carnival

Welcome to the June 30, 2011 edition of the Objectivist Round Up!  This is the twelfth time that Erosophia has hosted and I’m happy to report that the Carnival is still going strong!

Today’s quote is not from Ayn Rand, but I have a strong suspicion that she’d concur:

“When the Republic is at its most corrupt, the laws are the most numerous.” ~ Tacitus

I’m also told this is a strong theme in Locke’s political philosophy, although I’m not as familiar with that.

Without further ado, here is today’s carnival!

Jim May presents The Murder of the American Experiment posted at The New Clarion, saying, “Why would a conservative blithely tell us that “The American Experiment has Failed”, when it is plain that it has been corrupted by external factors? Answer: those who say that “The American Experiment has failed” have a vested interest in discrediting that experiment regardless — or perhaps because — of the successful results.”
