After having such a good time speaking at ATLOSCon, I’ve decided that I’m going to start doing more live speaking engagements! Honestly, I need some more work to be a really great public speaker in terms of my presentation and speaking skills, but the content is already there and I have no problem with Q&A, even with hard or unique questions. I’m open to speaking for Objectivist clubs or regional Objectivist societies, including conferences and the like. I’d be open to other groups as well, on a case by case basis.
I can deliver lectures I’ve already written, in which case I wouldn’t need more advance notice than enough time to book travel arrangements. I can also write a new speech on any topic within my expertise (right now I’m going to limit this to sexuality, sexual ethics, emotions, relationships, sexual attraction, or closely related subjects). If I write a brand new speech, I need 6-8 weeks to make sure I can have something good enough to present in time.
The best part of this? For now, I’m going to be speaking for free! That’s right, zero speaker’s fees for now. The only thing I’m going to ask for is help with travel expenses to get to the lecture. Don’t worry, I’m doing this completely selfishly: I want to expand readership for Erosophia, I want to get my ideas out there, and build up a market for my forthcoming book Eros and Ethos.
