Sometimes when I see an interesting news story, I file it away and plan to talk about it here, on Erosophia. From time to time, people also send me interesting links and some of these are so interesting, that I want to share them. Unfortunately, sometimes I also end up with a backlog of interesting news items that I haven’t dealt with yet. This is me dealing with them. Enjoy.
1. No Surprise for Bisexual Men: Report Indicates They Exist
I don’t know why it’s so hard for some people to believe that bisexual men are real. Now, thankfully!, there is a study showing what a lot of people already think is obvious.
2. Cuckolding: The Intellectual Sex Fetish
I don’t think there’s a causal relationship between intelligence and wanting to see your wife fucked by other men. On the other hand, many studies show that there is a strong correlation between levels of intelligence and atheism. Further, religious people tend to be more sexually repressed. Additionally, studies show that people with higher levels of education are more likely to be more sexually adventurous and try things considered “kinky.” So, maybe there is some connection.
I’d also like to point out that cuckolding, polyamory, and polysexuality are all very different and one cannot assume one knows anything about the latter two from reading a single article about the former.
3. Mother Gets Probation in Home Circumcision
The woman did this after reading the bible and learning that the christian god made a mistake in putting a foreskin on a penis, even though it has a function, presumably also given by this same god, and that it is their god’s will that it be cut off.
The judge in the case said: “the reality is you love your children and had absolutely no intent to harm your child.” I think that’s absolutely wrong, she precisely intended to harm her child in order to placate her imaginary god.
How would we feel about this woman if she had cut off the baby’s fingertips? Parents have no right to mutilate their children and no one should be able to choose to mutilate their own body until they’ve reached legal adulthood.
Some scientists are still worried about the female orgasm. In this study we learn that female orgasm is not an accident of male homology and that it must have a different evolutionary purpose. Other scientists, apparently those better read in sexual theory and anatomy, theorize that the function of the female orgasm has to do with the cervix pulling sperm into itself. See, for more information, see Sperm Wars.*
