In case you haven’t heard of it, The Book of Mormon is the Tony Award winning (9 Tonys!) musical written by Matt Stone and Trey Parker (of South Park). It is officially my favorite comedy musical, even though I haven’t seen it yet. I did, however, get to listen to the original broadway cast recording while driving through Utah, which was its own pleasure. The musical is running now on Broadway, but if you can’t make it to New York City, or if you’ve never been (like me), you can still listen to the music. Amazon has both the CD and MP3 download album.
In the meantime, check out this video of the song “I Believe” from The Book of Mormon. The video is from their performance during the Tony Awards:
Also, in case you, like me, missed the Tony’s, be sure to check out Neil Patrick Harris’ opening number:
And remember, Broadway is not just for gays anymore!

I want to see this! Dan Savage was just telling all the listeners of his podcast to go get this soundtrack – haha!
