The other day Violet Blue linked to an article called “The State of Boobs” that has some interesting information in it. I’m not sure how great the source is, since it’s an informal survey conducted by a magazine, but it’s interesting nonetheless. If it’s true, it means that nearly 50% of all women are B cups and nearly 75% of women are either B or C cups. Further, and this information is almost certainly correct given its source, the 10 fold increase in the number of breast implants in under two decades is very surprising. Obviously the techniques are getting better and the scars smaller, but it also shows an increased social pressure for women to be at certain breast sizes.
